Mason Kalfus is the founder of Zenith Legal. For over 20 years, he has assisted large law firms with their high-level strategy and lateral partner growth. After working in senior positions managing the lateral partner process at two prominent Washington, D.C. law firms, he started Zenith Legal to provide a service missing from other legal recruiting firms: actual insight into how law firms evaluate lateral partner resumes, interviews, and deal negotiation. He can guide candidates through the process from start to finish to better position them for success in the lateral market, and to find the right platform so that they can be most successful at their new firm. He has special expertise in the candidates that are often attractive to prominent Washington firms: regulatory, legislative, and litigation candidates with experience in the Department of Justice, Congress, and other federal and state regulatory and legislative bodies.

Mason received his J.D. in 2000 from the University of Chicago Law School and practiced antitrust law at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in Washington, D.C. He learned business strategy at the elite strategy firm The Boston Consulting Group before turning back to the legal industry as a strategy consultant in 2005. He has placed law firm partners, associates and C-Level staff at prominent AmLaw 100 law firms in Washington DC, New York, and California.

Mason lives in the Woodley Park neighborhood of Washington, D.C. with his wife and 3 children.
